The hereditary condition Warmblood Fragile Foal Syndrome (WFFS) has been known in America for multiple years and is now also recognized in Europe. There is a lot to do about it in the Netherlands and that was reason for the KWPN studbook to examine over 250 active, approved dressage- and showjumping stallions for the presence of this gene. Ten stallions turned out to be carriers, including seven dressage stallions. Our top talent Dettori provided his owners a relief, he is not a carrier of the WFFS gene and can therefore be used for breeding without any worries.
